2/25/2023 0 Comments Cura cetus3d update![]() I've still gotta source a PSU, but I havent decided on 12V or 24V. Does that sound like its gonna work good as a 3D printer? I know everyone says Duet for the board but its so expensive, I dont have the budget for it. I definitely want a touchscreen so I thinking in gonna go with RADDS 1.5 + arduino due + PanelDUE and I found a RADDS extruder expansion addon board. The only thing I havent gotten for the new printer Is the brains for it I have no experience with 32bit boards, but I know its gotta have one for more than 2 extruders. I'm going to start with just dual extruders, but I have a kraken I want to eventually use. I've bought 8 high precision 400step nema17 motors. I can use one of those and hand cut and bend a carriage if I need to. Hopefully I'll be able to print a carriage on my mega if not I have some high quality aluminum plates I bought to replace the bed slide on the mega and to use as the bed slide on the new printer. I found an insane deal on MGN12H linear rails and bought enough to have 4 rails on the Z axis, 2 rails on Y and 3 rails on X. I'm doing the frame out of 4040 extruded tslot with a base of 4080 so it will be super sturdy. I'm in the process of building a new CoreXY style printer, I've already sourced alot of the parts. I honestly think it's a value in the EEPROM but I dont have any idea what it could be.Īlso. It's not a conversion issue, the onscreen model in cura shows the right size.*I ccounted the 1mm squares. You want me to slice it in cura and send you back the Gcode? Will do thanks! This way the code should be easier to read. ![]() If so, try exporting the gcode with 10 or more perimeter shells (shell thickness 10mm or so). If you upload a gcode file of that model I could try to compare it to mine if you like. So much better/easer.Ĭould it be some kind of wrong unit conversion? Something like inch cm? Had to replace the faulty SD card from the beginning, replaced all fans afterwards (very loud and probably used before), changed the drivers to trinamic TMC2208 + new heatsinks (the cheap ones are far to noisy), printed a new part cooling fan duct (old one caused asymmetric warping), changed the filament clamp at the feeder/extruder (old one didn't allow for flex filament), designed a new filament sensor (just for fun), silenced the piezo speaker (was getting on my nerve), built a housing (to improve print quality, noise and pollution) and still I feel it could have been worse DĪt work we use a Prusa i3 MK3. ![]() Yep, those cheap chinese printers are a gamble. ![]()
